Fantastic $30 Cartography Software Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop Game Master's Fantasy

After a short availability earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by a specialized software company throughout their history, the complete package carries a value of over $1,300. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is certainly permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade cartography program that can be used to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

An imaginative landscape chart generated in the CC3+ software platform.

Bundle Tiers

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 offers enhanced value by adding in permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

Full Package

Starting at thirty dollars, the 39-item bundle contains these components:

  • Advanced Terrain Generator

Every volume from the Annual series come with this bundle, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, underground complexes, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character illustrations. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The sole limitation though you can redeem the deal across platforms, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. The Bundle Filters option is toward the top of the page, though users may also choose their donation amount in the right-hand section. There's also an "Adjust Donation" drop-down immediately below, allowing you to adjust the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
